Our Journey

History of Strides for Sarcoma

Founded by twins Gabriella and Nicholas Conjelko (pictured to the left), Strides for Sarcoma was created by families deeply impacted by childhood sarcoma and driven by a shared vision to create change. Through fundraising events and community outreach, we have transformed personal experience into meaningful action—supporting pediatric sarcoma research and uplifting families navigating childhood cancer.

As future physicians, Gabriella and Nicholas will begin medical school in 2026, with the shared goal of becoming pediatric oncologists. Their journey reflects Strides for Sarcoma’s mission: to bridge advocacy, research, and compassionate care while working toward a future where every child facing sarcoma has better treatment options and greater hope.
